Designed by German-born Constantin Wortmann, Cobra is one of Georg Jensens most recognizable collections. The elegant fluidity of the shapes coupled with Wortmanns unmistakeable sense of humour gives Cobra a timeless appeal that ensures it is recognized as a contemporary classic.

Constantin Wortmann studied industrial design in Hamburg and Munich. In the second year he workedfirst as an intern then as a freelance designer in the team of lighting maestro Ingo Maurer. In 1998, still being a student he co-founded the design studio Bro fr Form together with Benjamin Hopf.

In the coming couple of years Wortmann designed projects for Ycami, VIBIA, Modoluce, Kundalini and Authentics. In 2004 BFF started to collaborate with OSRAM, working on future concepts with new lighting technologies (Planon, LED, Oled) and with Koziol brand.

Undoubtedly one of Georg Jensens most recognizable and iconic candleholders, the Cobras sensual fluid shape has captured the hearts of many. Seemingly defying gravity, the lightness of the candleholders has a magical effect – one that is doubled when the flickering candlelight is reflected in the surface.
