Alex Derwick was inspired by wanting to mix contrasting styles of old Dutch painters like Hieronymus Bosch and Saturday morning cartoons from the nineties.
With Girl’s 30 year anniversary there was an amazing archive tracking the past 30 years. Pulling from their history and making it all come to life around this huge, weathered monument felt like the right way to celebrate the Girl milestone. Recreating Girl lore as if it was depicted in a silly and deranged biblical event.
Round nose, slightly tapered rail, pin tail. Fine tuned by the nerd himself, Mike Carroll.
